Labour MP suspended for saying the Chancellor is “superficially black” and “if you heard him on the Today programme you wouldn’t think he’s black”

Well, he’s a lot blacker than you dearie, but full marks for anything but superficial stupidity and stealing the headlines on the day of your leader’s big speech!

That wasn`t her quote (the coconut one) but what did say is disgraceful. Unless she was meaning that no black person could be so incredibly ignorant, but that doesn`t appear to have been the context. All made worse by her being a person of colour herself.
