Polls now suggest a record number of people think the UK should rejoin the EU.

I don`t understand how this would be possible as wouldn`t the UK need to apply and wait it`s turn? And wouldn`t it need to adopt the Euro? And wouldn`t it need to reduce its debt as it`s too high as a ratio to GDP? And do they really want ruled by the EU in Brussels rather than Westminster?

I’d be happy to rejoin, and delighted to take the euro

A great example why some people shouldn`t have a vote.

Idiots.

Quite a generalisation without actually pointing out exactly who the idiots are......

It`s also quite an leap to assume polls represent anything

Exactly, the only polls that matters is the one when people actually have to get off their backsides and vote. If such a huge number of Scots hadn`t voted to leave the EU we wouldn`t be in quite the mess we are now.

Surely the biggest difference between the actual poll in 2016 and the current opinion polls is that the latter have the benefit of hindsight? The 2016 referendum was the most dishonest political campaign in my lifetime with little attempt to produce factual evidence to support arguments, particularly on the `leave` side. Now reality is sinking in. For some reason the majority of those who voted in Scotland weren`t convinced by the `leave` arguments. I`ve never seen any attempt to rationalise why they took a different view from their counterparts in the rest of the UK but it looks like they are now part of a UK majority who would have preferred to stay.

Relax folks

Either by an Indy referendum via the Supreme Court decision on Wednesday, or a de facto Indy referendum at the next General Election, an Indy Scotland will be free to decide whether we should join the EU…or will we get the choice?

Scotland voted 62% to stay. The mess isn`t our fault.

All other things being equal, it would have needed to be 86% to save rUK from themselves.

Yeah they would have said they are being kept in the EU against their will. Over a third of Scots voted to leave. As a percentage only 7% more of the electorate voted for independence.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

Bingo....the number of fools who have been scammed by Johnson over the last few years is quite staggering.

It is a shame they won`t admit it.

Yeah, over a third of Scots voted to leave which means almost two-thirds voted to stay. I`m not clear what point you are trying to make and why compare it with the 2014 referendum?

Just making the point that almost as many people, as a percentage, voted to leave the European Union as voted to leave the United Kingdom.

Mike Russell said 5 million Scots voted to remain. We had the lowest turnout. SNP never are very good with figures

Edit: second lowest turnout. NI worse.

UK government to rejoin?

Declare their offshore money?

Bring State Pension up to same levels as the rest of Europe?

Labour to change their views?

Somehow I don`t think so!🤬

Where did he say that? There aren`t 5m people eligible to vote in Scotland. Is he a Celtic supporter?
