In his latest speech Keir Starmer attempts to paint the Labour Party as a slightly pinkish version of the Tories. He has now adopted the `Take Back Control` slogan of the Brexit campaign. He said :-
`It was the same in the Scottish referendum in 2014 – many of those who voted ‘yes’ did so for similar reasons. And it’s not an unreasonable demand.
It’s not unreasonable for us to recognise the desire for communities to stand on their own feet. It’s what Take Back Control meant. The control people want is control over their lives and their community.`
Isn`t it also not unreasonable to grant people the right to have a referendum on independence from Westminster if they want one? Would he have had the gall to make that speech in Scotland?

It’s all about London labour. Not anywhere else. Just another gimmicky catchphrase.

It`s almost as if they think folk in Scotland don`t hear anything that`s said outside Scotland. The same thing happened during Liz Truss`s leadership campaign with her comments about Nicola Sturgeon.

Labour can die alongside the Tories as far as I care. Both are toxic
