Looks like our senior Generals are doing some sabre rattling due to drop in recruitment and the threat of a future war with Russia.
Wouldn`t have thought an increase in numbers would make much difference due to the nuclear options that each nation would have?🤔💥💥💥

indeed LA, my mother recalled the day during WW2 when the local Home Guard were running about the fields behind Dollytown armed with broomsticks. ”Christ Mrs **** pipes up her neighbour, is the all that stands between us and the ruddy Germans…!

Martin Rogers is our local historian and has a video of old Dollytown on YouTube.
A nostalgic meander round the old streets he was born and grew up in and he didn’t always get the names right...
Worth a look though and that old telephone box might pop up!

Yeah, saw the video a while back, with an appearance by the said phone box. When my father was working abroad my mother had to be in the phone box at a specific time. Woo betide anyone who was there already!
