But rumours are that the Lard of the Isles is hoping to be elevated to the House of Lords.
With a butt that broad that’ll be two seats then…!

The Lords will benefit from having a multi millionaire former banker in its ranks.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

I wish I could understand what you are trying to say, Parboiled. Please translate. You tend to be very parochial and exclude those of us outside your small patch of ground. In my experience, the Scots are far more inclusive than you like to paint them.

I assume this is a reference to Ian Blackford, erstwhile MP for Ross, Skye and Lochaber, who is rumoured to be in favour of the SNP dropping its policy of not nominating people for elevation to the House of Lords, possibly because he quite fancies being a Lord himself and living in London would mean he could avoid his soon to be ex-wife who I think still lives in Skye.
He described himself as a "simple crofter" despite being a well-heeled ex Edinburgh Investment Banker and Fund manager. He is not renowned for his athletic build.

Have you been appointed to translate Parboiled`s dribbles, MT? Good to have someone clearly articulate his waffle.

This `story` depends on the SNP changing their policy of refusing to nominate people for the House of Lords. I`m sure they have other priorities at the moment. Of course it also gives Parboiled an opportunity to indulge in his favourite pastime of insulting people, preferably with connections to independence, with reference to their appearance or any other attribute which he considers to deviate from the norm.

I like your dry humour MT, such subtlety is rare on here. They probably think Janey Godley is witty.
Mrs P almost fainted when his Lardship bent over to lay a wreath. It wasn’t because it was upside down either..

Why?
Can’t he post himself or are his fingers stiff from playing with his didgeridoo?
