I notice the app on my phone won't connect to the .net server this morning. I suspect there are phone network issues, although I did update the app last night to remove the advert from the Posts screen (it was working fine last night though). Anyone else having issues?

My phone isn't receiving texts or calls, and I can't even browse to the forum on it, so I conclude there are fundamental network issues!

Same problem here. Can get on through browser but app ays 'can't be contacted' android with moto phone. Mebbe just moto phones as I tried it on my wife's newer moto and wont open on that either. Opens ok on Samsung tablet

It's possible that the app update is causing this, although mine is now working fine. I'll try to revert to the previous version if I can, but I won't be able to try until tomorrow night at the earliest.

Cleared cache, no luck.
Cleared all app data, no luck
Uninstalled and reinstalled app, no luck.
Getting incorrect credentials just trying to login and 'cant be contacted' just opening app to view forum list so maybe something server side?

Have tried many times now uninstalling + re-installing + re-setting password but still cannot log into Android app
Strange this as can log into the web browser perfectly - just not the app.
Been two days now. Worry that others have similar problem but may not have the opportunity to inform as their android phones may be the only source of their .net world.

Jeffery / DunfyDave (and anyone else having issues), what phone are you using and what version of Android do you have? (Settings / System / About Phone). I take it also that everyone is able to launch the app but it can't talk to the server?

I have a theory.. If the broken people are on new versions of Android, the Internet calls are failing as they are http and not https. Il update the app on Monday night to use https and that will hopefully sort the issue.

All the evidence is pointing to Android 9. A quick Google tells me that by default http is not allowed from Android 9, needs to be https. The dot net server is fine with https so it will be a quick fix - but won't be able to do it until Monday night (it's that pesky real life getting in the way haha).
