Apologies for long post.
I’m sure all of you will have heard Marguerite Henderson’s story. How during the bad weather in February, she contracted Sepsis from a tiny paper cut. Unable to see a doctor she was rushed from Crosshill to Victoria hospital where she was put in an induced coma, and nearly lost her life. On waking she got the news that she was to lose all of her limbs. She now needs a bionic arm, two prosthetic legs and an electric wheelchair. Her family are trying to raise £80,000 to get her the help she needs. Marguerite is doing well and is currently in Ninewells hospital where she is learning to walk again on prosthetic legs.
There have been many fundraising events in the area to help this amazing lady, Music for Marguerite have already held a music night in the Glen Pavilion and are holding a further gig in PJMolloys on 1st September.
I have a DAFC signed 2017/2018 match ball in presentation case which was donated to Music for Marguerite, to help raise funds towards that target.
Please consider making a bid - for yourself, for friends or family birthday/Christmas (sorry!) and help is to help Marguerite. More information and pictures on event page on our Facebook page: Music for Marguerite - there is a separate event page for the auction.
I will insert any bids made here on the Music for Marguerite auction event page, with amounts only, and will update here if any other bids come in from elsewhere.
