 Recycling
Topic Originator: TKF

I see Fife Council have stopped collecting recycling in Duloch because residents can't put things in the correct bins. Isn't it time we sent all these immigrants from Edinburgh back over the bridge? First they take all our school places, and now they are causing a blight on our landscape with rubbish everywhere. Time to build a wall and put in place a travel ban for anyone who even has a whiff of the Edinburgh about them?

Born and bred Fifer, Tenruh 😂

Are they going to take away the bins? They're almost always full though mainly because people don't collapse their boxes. Although it'd inconvenience me if they remove them, it'd reduce the amount of litter blowing into the gardens opposite the petrol station.

Just read the story. It's the flats over at Bittern Court dumping landfill in the recycling.

The sensible solution would be to level aw they hooses like they've done wi Fraser Avenue and start again fae scratch.
Either that or take off and nuke the whole site from orbit... It's the only way to be sure!!! 😂

Aye, only to be expected from the Abbey View expansion area.
My grey bin has been out since Tuesday, not emptied and when I peaked in it last night I discovered than some scamp had flung a bin bag full of scud mags in it. Unfortunately he put a few letters addressed to himself in there too, so if he does read this, can Mr K Pearson please remove his porn stash from my bin

LOL. Get a note in the Press.

I'd check with the council though. Dirty mags are still paper and the council has missed a few collections due to lack of lorries.

Seems the folk on the other side of Linburn Road are even mankier. One of them in court for smearing an excessive amount of his own poo all over a police cell.

An excessive amount? That suggests that their is an amount of ones own poo that one can smear over a wall which won't be regarded as too much.

Afraid I misreported. It actually said he spent a substantial amount of time doing it rather than using an excessive amount.

It's next to another story about there being too much dog poo on the streets.

The irony, folk who pay their taxes get refused services and the folk that get theirs paid for continue to receive .
To be honest the flats in Bittern Court is like the achievable dream for the majority of the folk on estates in Dunfermline, it's more likely to be town folk than Edinburgers that live there anyway.

It's been covered a thousand times before. Duloch isn't filled with Edinburgh folk. On one side I've a family from the town and on the other a family from Cowdenbeath. Further up is an Aberdonian. Guy over the fence is Polish. I think folk confuse people who WORK in Edinburgh with people FROM Edinburgh.

Duloch also isn't particularly aspirational. There's nicer (and more expensive!) places to live in Dunfermline. The main positive is it's affordable, well located and has decent schools. People think it's all big houses but plenty of blocks of flats and terraced houses too. Loads of HA properties but they've been designed to look more like the private homes.

Most of the flats at Bittern Court are buy to let. Flats are always problematic with rubbish. It just takes one to ruin it.

Sounds like something someone from Edinburgh would say.

No, an Edinburgh person would more likely question whether some residents of Royston Vasey had made a new home in Dunfermline, TKF 😂
