SRJ are excellent but you pay for it I believe. Fair few glazers around the Bay and Inverkeithing too.

never heard a bad word about SRJ before. Pricey but quality is all I've ever heard.

Not just the quality of the glass though. It's the quality of the people fitting them.
Remember, a Skoda and an Audi are the same engines.

Skoda, Audi, Seat, vw, are one and the same company. All under the control of VW.
Vw also own Bugatti... And probably a few more.
As far as I'm aware... The engines are all made by vw.
Although I doubt the engine in a Bugatti is a vw lol.... But ye never know

Ah, the old 'you get what you pay for' pash
Dont always go local is my advice, i tried that with 2 big spends, i wanted to spend money local too, both were out of business before my guarantee ran out, and they wernt the cheapest

Always make sure that any guarantee is backed up by an insurance policy. So even if the company goes bust you are still covered.

VAG use the same engines across the Audi, VW, Skoda and Seat range.
Renault-Nissan do the same with Renault, Nissan, Dacia and some Lada models (they have a big stake in AutoVaz)

I had SRJ fit my windows (10 and 2 patio doors) service and quality were excellent.
After about 5 years one window cracked one day and they came out without question and replaced the window with the crack. Happens occasionally apparently, so I would advise to go for a reputable after sales company instead of local people who may be cheaper but may not give that peace of mind if there are flaws in the window.

How much is double glazing these days? Ours is around 15 years old and some of the windows don't shut quite right. Can probably adjust or replace the mechanism but just curious. Windows are Anglian btw and based on the standard of them I wouldn't use them.
