A German teacher friend of mine intends to bring a group of 20 kids aged 13/14 to Scotland for a cultural visit, next April/May for 7 days.
She has two children from Kosovo in her class and thinks they may each require a visa costing £98. She's asked me to find out if there are any special arrangements for children. I've had a look on the Government website, but not found any relevant information.
Can anybody point me in the right direction where I might find the info required?

The whole thing is a bit of a shambles and proves how difficult (not to mention expensive) for anyone to come to the UK for what is effectively a short holiday.
Imagine if e.g. Turkey started to ask Brits for £100 to spend a week in their country. I reckon their tourist industry would plummet.
Do American tourists have to apply for a visa to come here, does anyone know?

It's crazy. In some countries it would be cheaper for the kids to change nationality than it would be to get a visa to visit the UK.

I take it that's for US citizens you're answer is for Jbob? The Kosovar children will have to fork out an extra £98 each to visit Scotland for one week?
Mental!

We came back from a short break in Krakow a couple weeks ago and I asked the Border Control Officer what was the likely story for UK passport holders post Brexit in respect of renewals and visas etc. - we haven’t been advised yet was the response.
Approaching shambles come 30th March ?

wonder how rich Kosovo would be if they charged us for working visas for every soldier we have sent in over the years.

You mean how rich we'd be if we charged them for every soldier we'd sent over their to secure their countries independence.

I doubt 'we' would be any richer. Someone will be, but not us, the wealth doesn't filter down
