As much as i think Usyk WILL win, You can't underestimate Bellew A. He is fairly quick, B. He IS skilled. C. He has power.
Forget the fight against Gassiev - He was slow, ponderous, didn't throw much and was far too easy to hit.
Look at the Briedis fight and add someone with more power.

Joe's brother hammered by Ricky Burns. Time to retire?

He was completely outclassed by Burns. God knows where Cardle goes from here. He may get another crack at something domestically but he's really skating on thin ice now. It was a brutal KO.

Think Bellew kissed him more times than he punched him. Was on planet janet at the end of the fight, hope he got checked out properly and is OK

His left is something special. Can't see that he's anywhere near big enough for the big boys though.

Skill wise he would be fine but to compete he would have to put 30 lbs on at least

and need about half a dozen fights before he is seen as a realistic challenger for a whyte/Parker/AJ.
be interesting to see him face someone like Takam/Pulev as a step up fight.

I disagree about putting on 30lb, he'll probably walk about a stone heavier than he fought at on saturday.
There's this belief that when fighting someone bigger you should bulk up but in doing so you negate the speed advantage you had. There's plenty of heavyweights who didn't weigh 16 stone, if Usyk settles at low fifteens that's fine imho. He looks cute enough to give the plodders plenty to think about.

I meant to compete against AJ and the like who are 240-260 range.Povetkin is a very skilled boxer but when he got clipped by the heavier guy it was all over.

similarly Bellew was having the better of things and ahead through 7 rounds on the judges scorecards at ringside. Sure even he will acknowledge to step up will be a big challenge

He did well.He admitted though Usyk was elite level and he was world level.
Usyk was patient, took his time and pounced when he saw Bellew open.

Its a boxing match not a tug o war, no point in usyk bulking up for AJ he wont match him for strength whatever weight he settles at but at 15 stone something he will still be able to pick him off and use his speed, waste of time bulking up as all it does is negate your own skills.

Yep that's the balance he faces if he moves up.How much weight can he put on without diminishing his skills.

Usyk was a heavyweight about 8 years ago and was Olympic and World Amateur champion at that weight. He also fought at heavyweight in the WSB. Watched his fight back against Joe Joyce and not sure what his weight was but his movement was still far too much. He would already be in the top 5 heavyweights or thereabouts IMO.
