Used to stay in the countryside and when the farmers were cutting the fields then we had one. If traps are not working get a professional out. If it is behind walls then could turn into an infestation. It is only really useful to lay traps where the mice run. If you cannot get to them then a pest controller would be your best option. A mice problem can quickly spread out of control.

Reach out to the mice and seek a compromise. You might just find you have more in common than you think.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

I used to have a wireless mouse problem - when Windows 10 was installed.

Messed around for a while, then resorted to following instructions from a Google search.

another vote for peanut butter, has to be placed properly (if you can get to them), but generally by the time you see one, you've got a few

failing that, borrow a cat as i've been told mice won't stay in a house where there's a cat is (not sure if that's true or not)

Hate killing them .But the damage in the garage was unhealthy. Peeing over bottles and stored foodstuffs. The chewing damage was unbelievable.

I used to hate when the cat brought one in. She is prolific though. I hate to think how many of them would be around if it wasn't for the local moggies.
Still hate when she gets birds or baby rabbits though.
