not sure if we need an architect, but we're thinking of building an extension and need some advice/ideas...
it won't be normal extension as house is on different level to gargen so we'd need internal stairs built / using up bit of cellar.
i have loads of ideas that probably won't be cost effective or add that much value to the house (which we're also wanting to do).
Can anyone recommend anyone who could tell us what possible / straightforward and what would bring the most benefit to us and value (i'm also happy to break it up into stages if required, so it could evolve over time).
anyway, any recommendations would be great

I'd suggest taking a look at the work of any architect you are considering and have a chat with them to see who you gel with/ who seems to understand your requirements best.
There's an old saying that an architect should give you what you didn't know you needed/ wanted.... but that's where it has the potential to get expensive 😉
