 Inter serve the next Carillion

We were warned about this shortly after the Carillion collapse earlier this year.
We had a couple of contracts with them who were late payers and a constant hassle which we have offloaded this year and I turned down a couple of jobs from them for the same reason.

Reading this sounds almost the same as Carilion this time last year.

These contracts are awarded cheap with the emphasis on the company to make money on the extras, but various companies who are shackled with them have realised this and now ask for 3 quotes for works leaving Interserve with no lucrative job work from these cheap contracts!

There was one company excluded from those discussions due to their current position. I thought it was reported on Radio 4 as being Interserve.

Hope they manage to get it sorted without folks losing their jobs.

Shares hit 30 yr low? How come I’ve never heard of this company until now? Have they renamed from something else ? Or is it just that because they’ll now need bailed out by our money that we are getting to hear of them ?

If you are involved with big construction or FM companies you would have heard of them.

Why they still getting awarded govt contracts?

As it turns out, I know them as ISS, as they are FM for O2 in uk, doing cateri g, cleaning, security and switch & cellsite FM for about last 10 years, never heard much good said about them by ‘employees’

Calpar. iSS are a totally different Danish company, who may subcontract to Interserve but in no way connected!

As for why Interserve are getting awarded contracts, no idea but as with Carilion it makes sure the Directors get a few more pay day!
