Hi, does anybody have an idea of what a reasonable price is to have a new boiler installed? I've priced up boilers so just looking for an installation cost. Also any recommendations of local tradesmen they would recommend to do this? I live in Dunfermline.
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers

Anyone had a hot water tank ripped out and the boiler replaced with just a combi? Is that even a thing these days?
Boiler is 18 years old and not getting enough hot water for a bath.

Pay the extra and get a Worcester-Bosch or a Valliant etc. Worth it in long run.
If it's just a straight replacement old for new should be £300-£400 on top of the cost of boiler itself from my experiences.

Cheers. The boiler I was looking at is a Worcester Greenstar. My old boiler was condemned as a safety hazard. Turns out it wasn't fitted correctly in the first place. The house was a new build when I got it but it's 11 years old now.Surprised it lasted so long-water had been coming down the flue pipe into the unit. Thomas Graham plumbers quoted £1800 all in for a replacement. I've found the same boiler for £820 delivered online so that must be the better option for me. If I can get it installed for £3-400 I'll have saved myself well over £500.

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 35i is the dogs doodas, had one swapped in (Vokera combi) last year by Kyle Crombie.
3 new radiators fitted as well for under 3K.
Get the wireless programmer as well, it's top notch.

we did when we moved in 4/5 years ago. Old back boiler etc all removed and new combi put in. Will need piping/radiators replaced as well as likely they wont be able to cope with the pressure coming off new boiler.
