Windsor Davies has died aged 88. The It Ain’t Half Hot mum star passed away on Thursday, his family have confirmed. His cause of death is not yet known. Windsor was most known for playing Battery Sergeant Major Williams in the sitcom – which began in 1974 – and had a string of catchphrases to his name.

Why can I hear him being the voice-over for some food product advert from the 80s? Can't quite remember what though.

And although my eyes were open

He done a curried beans advert.
Also an ad for wispa.
Was also one of the voices in Terrahawks back in the day (showing my age now 😂)
