 The Jack Adcock case

This is a very long read but well worth it. It throws up lots of emotions and lots of questions about our NHS

Having actually read the report they seem to have put over all points of view and also relevant facts in a concise and clear manner.

And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

That's a compelling case against the BBC.

It's a great report and very clear that Dr Bawa-Garba was scapegoated for a series of systematic failings. An utterly tragic case all round and, like in so many things, those that truly bear responsibility for Jack Adcock's death aren't answerable to anyone.

Dr Stephen O'Riordan, for one, appears to be an utter chunt (on the basis of this report).

It would appear that she has been hung out to dry. The consultant seems to have gotten away with “double booking” himself.
Whilst she has admitted that she could have done things differently, in hindsight, she was not helped by others.
Understandably, the parents are distraught and want accountability but it does seem that some of the “guilty” have gotten away with it

"Whilst she has admitted that she could have done things differently"

That's what utterly galling in this case. She did what almost every professional person should be doing every single day - reflected on her practice to establish what she could have done better. The fact that this reflection was then used against her in court was abominable and could have severe repercussions. It will further encourage secrecy and cover ups, for which several NHS Trusts already have previous.

I can't help but wonder if there were elements of racism (probably via unconscious bias) at play here. If Stephen O'Riordan was the junior doctor and Hadiza Bawa-Garba was the supervising consultant, which one would have been on trial? The fact that O'Riordan quietly gave up his license to practice in the UK and moved to Ireland shortly afterwards gives you some clues...

But that's the rub...we the people do not matter and are not considered by those in charge...that is clear and yet mention that and you are labelled a conspiracy theorist.
Take a look around, not much is the will of the people.
