Thought this one might have gotten more interest.
Really saddened by this news. I've loved F1 since the early 80s and remember well the 1984 championship when he pipped his team mate Prost.
To come back from what he did is nothing short of breathtaking. His interviews on Sky during the current series he always came across really well too.

I'm not quite old enough to remember him racing but he is certainly a legend of the sport.
Matisich is really going to be hit hard. I heard him and Lauda compared to the Muppets Stadler and Waldorf yesterday by Christian Horner. Apparently really close.

When you compare him to the current breed of F1 driver, it really highlights what an astonishing individual he was. If he was a driver today, I doubt he would be posting pictures of himself sitting on the wing of his private plane.
