Actually unless you go insane then 8 Gb more than enough.Had 2Gb once and had to tether wifes phone as she went mad on facebook,stopped videos on it,and had a week after with both us using no bother.

Is your phone unlocked? 3 mobile do a one month unlimited data/unlimited mins/unlimited texts for £26.
You could take that for a month and tether to it.

Yeah as London says get the best no contract data plan and an old phone, to save you swapping Sims, and tether

I'll be using around 10GB an hour. So unlimited is the plan.
Giffgaff have an always on unlimited data plan for £25. You only need to take it for one month at a time. After 20gb as used though your speed is reduced to 384kbs which might be too slow

I would have thought you'd need to watch 3 x 1080p movies at the same time to get near 10g per hour

The 3 plan that London mentioned is unrestricted in the UK. Restricted after 19gb aboard.
But yeah that's a lot of data to be pumping an hour on holiday.
They reckon a 4k stream consumes 7g an hour.
