He and Fernando Lopez have just beaten the top seeds in the men's doubles at Queen's Club. He showed good movement, played some fantastic shots and still has that fierce competitive spirit.

Excellent. Bet the top seeds weren't chuffed drawing those two.

He now seems to be seriously considering a return to singles matches. When you consider he must have been operating at less than full capacity during at least the last year before he had the hip surgery despite being competitive, there's a possibility he could return a much better player with a chance of winning the top tournaments. There are a lot of young players coming through but do they have the fierce competitiveness and dedication of Federer, Djokovic, Nadal and Murray?

Murray isn't really in the same league as the other three you mention which is no disgrace.

All the more credit to him then for winning three grand slams, two Olympic singles titles and being No 1 in the world while playing in the same era as them. I was referring to competitiveness and dedication and I think he matches them in both these attributes.

While I doubt he's capable of reaching past heights or top seeding, he's still capable of winning a major tournament.
I guess he'll just give it his best shot as he doesn't like being 2nd best but it's really good to see him back looking fit and winning again albeit at doubles.

Lots of people have said that if he were to dedicate himself to doubles he’d be the best doubles player in the world.

We may now learn if that’s true

I would fancy he'd have a chance at the crown, his reflexes and ball to eye coordination is fantastic.

Wish him all the best obviously but as other have said there are some good young players coming through. In doubles you are only serving every fourth game, covering half the distance and playing 2 sets with a potential champions tie breaker in the 3rd-a big difference to playing 5 sets against the top singles players.

Yes. Several of the young players were put to the sword by a 37 year old at Queens. They will come through but it will take an while. In the meantime Murray could well win another major tournament. He is after all only 33.

Well done to Lopez for that but the weapon he has for grass is that he is the 8th fastest server of all time.

None of the top players in the world were at Queens and it's best of 3-I don't think he is the type of player to come back and settle for second best. His game is so reliant on movement I would be surprised if he ever won another major but obviously delighted if he did.Does his body have it in him to be playing 4/5 hour matches every second day which is usually what he has needed in the past to win the big ones? The fact he says that he has been 'sore and stiff' after a few short doubles matches would make me have reservations although naturally only time will tell.He also has to contend with the big 3 who have won the last 10 majors between them and are the the 3 most prolific major winners of all time!

He seems to be realistic about the future and hasn't even committed to playing singles again. He isn't going to be playing singles anytime soon so talk of winning tournaments is premature. If he never wins another one it doesn't take away from what has been a tremendous career.

He's playing with Herbert at Wimbledon - superb doubles pedigree (he's won all the Grand Slams with his regular partner (Nicolas Mahut)). I think I read somewhere that Mahut was a bit cheesed off...

If she’s fit. Has a habit of pulling out at some stage in doubles.

Harriet Dart is still in the Ladies' Singles. She has a bit of grit about her.

Dan Evans seems to have learned a lesson from his suspension and is beginning to realise his potential.
