 Loft Hatch Recommendations

Can anyone recommend someone in the Dunfermline area that will be able to enlarge a loft hatch and fit a loft ladder?

PK Joiner 07931144846 did a great job on ours. Peter does good work at a decent price and the job he did is exactly the same as you're looking for.

If you live in a more modern build house with pre-stressed engineered roof trusses, it will be difficult to modify the hatch opening. On an older house without factory manufactured trusses no problem to modify the opening.

Surely depends where the hatch is? In a modern house I can almost guarantee the current one will be in the middle and placed between two beams (approx. 600mm wide). A bigger one would require cutting through a beam and reinforcing.
