A VPN is a way to hide your IP address on the web. Means it's much more difficult to track your online activity. Often used by people who are doing dodgy stuff like watching paid TV for free.
You can also download Mobdro from their website which gives you access to sports and other channels for free.
As for the legal way. NOW TV, which is sky based, will give you access to sports and movies. You can buy each on a monthly basis with no fixed contract. I think you may even be able to buy it for a day if you just want to watch one game. That would work out expensive though.
I don't have NOW TV so really that's as much as I know.

I paid a guy £45 a good while back to load my fire stick with all the free stuff which he did and it was working on my brother in laws tv
When I got home and plugged it in to my tv it will not work I contacted the guy and he says it is because talk talk who i am with can block it I never got my £45 back

Sky Q boxes seem to be somewhat erratic. If you have a working HD setup, it might be best to leave it alone.
Got Q installed 2 Fridays ago. Installer left, and after 20 mins got a 'no satellite signal' message.
This remained until the following Wednesday.
Next installer appeared, replaced the box. He configured it, was getting ready to leave, and the box then turned itself off, and would not turn on again.
Off to his van, for my 3rd box in 5 days. This one has held up for a week or so, but I don't trust it and feel it might have been better to stay with HD.

Movie the wife could not get the fire stick home page so i went in tonight to settings and restart and I now have every bloody sky, b,t movie, music channel with Omega stream but the subscription runs out in January 2020 :-(
