Anyone know why they’ve started fencing off the grassy areas on Chalmers street ?

Is it up on the north end? Story in the Press saying subsidence. Not sure if it affects that side. If it's permanent fencing then it's probably part of a local improvement scheme. Essentially this is money assigned to an area that has to be spent. So if there's nothing worth doing you suddenly see new fences or benches going in.

Years ago the council came up my street and took out a metal fence. I assumed it was to make the green space more open. They then came back later in the week and put up an almost identical fence.

Read the press when I head up to my maw’s so everything I read is 4 weeks past. The fencing is of the cheapest in the shop variety. Just nosey as they had blocked access to the old play park there. But had put a sign upSaying they were going to do that. Cheers
