Could try a plug in charger. They take a while but work.

Can't you just park the car that you're going to use for jump start in your driveway as well?
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

I'd have to charge it but I have the emergency cordless battery thing that starts it.I can charge it and bring it up to try if you want.

You can't bump start an automatic. If you try I'm sure you knacker the gearbox.
You need to jump start or charge the battery.
Pretty sure you are correct.
Auto's cannot be bumped.
They can however be jump started from a donor battery in the same way as a manual BUT only when the auto box is in park or neutral.
Not that I've ever owned an auto... But that's the way I understand it.

Thanks for the comments. I the car was parked nose forward on the drive so I couldn't get the neighbours car close enough. I have a charger pack thingy but they dont work when the battery is dead. Needs a trickle, unless its a heavy duty one. I googled it and after discarding several instruction videos due to model variances I found one that helped
I had to take some facia off to expose a manual override lever. This let me get into neutral and push the car out the drive.
The problem was caused by leaving the bluetooth on which connected to something in the house and drained the battery.
Thanks again.

Nope but I needed it fixed quicker than they could come. It is a good car in good condition so never felt the need. Maybe ill sign up but not the AA. I would use Gem.

If you were struggling badly Parrot you can always take a fully charged battery off another vehicle and just place it next to the vehicle you need jumped.
Had that exact situation as you've described in the op and done the above.
