A clip by Little Richard from 1963 when he fires up a live studio audience of middle class hipsters in London. (Watch for Jimmy Savile at 1.58).
‘Whole Lotta Shakin’ is a Jerry Lee number and only has four lines, but in the hands of a master performer like Little Richard he can keep pumping up the intensity for a full six minutes. He prowls, leaps and pounces until he closes with a manic crescendo. It’s breath taking.

TOWK,
Thanks for helping with the link. Little Richard was always an actor of course, but paradoxically he was never less than authentic. That's why we remembe him.
What comes across in the London clip is how much a live audience inspired him to greater heights. The backing band - Sounds Incorporated- give probably the greatest gig their career. Yet Little Richard is working off a four line song. For six minutes? But he manages it and more.
