 Probably would irritate the fek oota some folk if I posted this on the fitba' forum, so I've put it here. It's a rough sketch, could do with re-working:

 Seems a bit irreverent for one o' oor great and loyal sons. We'll have him in the starting line-up. Probably would do very well currently, even in white dungarees and cairryin' a paint kettle.

 I think De Gier was a distant relative of someone who once saw a record by Simon & Garfunkel in a shop windae. That's as close as he got tae Art. ( Plenty near enough for this thread onyw'y.)
