Hi creepy wee customers 💕
We know this is a long and awaited post but wewant to let all you guys know the current situation.
Since the start of lockdown we have tried to navigate our situation of having no income due to government closure of the pub with our landlord but they ignored and then were demanding then lawyers were involved.
After this our landlords decided to ignore their own legal requirements, both from their own drawn up notice to quit, and the government guidelines.
So they illegally repossessed the pub by breaking into the pub, changing the locks and taking possession of, and then putting into a skip, our own personal property.
Further to this we had already done many risk assessments during the last 5 months and at no point is the pub safe and viable to operate during a pandemic. Not only that, the whole experience of the Creepy is the vibe! And the vibe is non existent during these regulations. But nothing kills a vibe more than putting lives at risk.
We want to make all our customers aware of this incase the pub reopens. We want to wish everyone complete safety during this and with our whole heart thank every single one of you who made our pub what it was. We love every one of you but this is unfortunately goodbye. There will never be enough words to show how grateful we are.
Everyone stay safe and hope to see you again. 👻 x
P.s. we are keeping hold of this page so we can share memory’s of how great it was
Come on ye pars ⚽️

That's sad. They should name and shame the landlords. Disgusting way to any during such difficult times

Is the landlord not the same landlord who owns much of the town?
I can see where the landlord is coming from here - it's their asset and it's up to them how it's used. However, the staff are right that it wouldn't be safe to open. If keeping social distancing then you'd be lucky to get three people in there and it'd need careful coordination to maintain safety. Whilst the risk in Dunfermline is miniscule, government guidance still applies.
It'll be interesting to see if the Creepy reopens with a new licensee.

As with everything, especially on Facebook there is two sides to every story, there has been certain elements left out of their version of events.

Would you care to elaborate on that ?

For info...
Please don't name the landlord.
These kind of threads have led to problems for this site in the past and it will not be allowed to happen again.
This site has to protect itself.

Not same landlord unless something changed?
Learning the trade is my opinion.

I didn't think widtink was Brian. Is it? Brian's secret alter ego outed.
Agree not to name names.
