Coal Road will be closed for 5 weeks as of Monday.
I can't wait to negotiate the world's worst set of traffic lights at Pilmuir Street. I predict cars stuck in the middle of the junction, blocking other users
Chaotic sequencing that has never been addressed from day one

That layout was clearly designed by a transport engineer on acid. It would have been better to have the Tesco access off Carnegie Drive rather than at the back. Trying to get in and put of the council car park next to Fire Station Creative is ridiculous.
The Coal Road will surely need sorted when they build all the houses at Broomhall.

Has the work been delayed? Still open and signs, warning of the closure, appear to have gone?

Roadworks website says starting yesterday for 207 working days. Excavating and rehab of a sewer. That seems like an error in duration...

Yeh, delayed until later in the year - we got a letter about it. There was a rumour that the weather last week had impacted on the preparation works they had been doing, but I have no idea if there is any truth in that or not.
