First I've heard about it so clearly not in paper and on TV every day.
Coming out of a coma after 7 months is certainly newsworthy whether they were famous or not.
Maybe a bit of empathy from you would be appropriate.

But so is Bill two doors down from me but nobody has even heard of him
Its a modern trait that gains momentum due to all the followers of twitter facebook etc. The more famous the person the more some folk want to be seen to be associated with them and have an affiliation with that person
I don.t think your post was poor it was just an observation on over exposure of the celebrity world that many follow and allude to
