A large part of my CD collection is on an iTunes library on my laptop - transferred to my iPod (4th generation) as and when wanted.
I have managed to get a modest grip on iTunes basics following this procedure by trial and error (mostly the latter) over the years without really understanding as much as I`d wish.
OK - cut to the chase.
I have an iPhone SE (1st generation) as my mobile `phone, and as it has a fair amount of free space I thought it would be a straightforward exercise to put some of the albums on it as well.
That`s when I got this message -
Synching “iPhone” with this iTunes library will replace media from another iTunes
library on XXXXXXX -PC.
An iPhone can only sync with one iTunes library at a time.
Question is - if I proceed past this warning will I be able to go back later and sync with my iPod again, and after I`ve added any new CDs to the library ?
I do not want to compromise long hours of transferring CDs to iTunes, and/or messing up my iPod.
Cue all the clued up Apple users hereabouts.

Laptop is about 6 years old - iTunes library has been in service for a while, updated as per Apple software releases.

Then I`m stuck vee
I tried mine tonight same phone as you into a MacBook pro 8 years old
I synced the phone first then went into the music section on iTunes ticked a couple of albums that were not on my phone clicked apply and they transferred across
I did not get the message about replacing media etc.
Sorry I could not be more help

Cheers for that.
I`m reluctant to try in case it all goes sour.
Update - I bit the bullet, so far, so good.
Success - after a lot of flaffing around !!!

Thanks - after I had Googled the problem I began to get a handle on the procedure.
Once I ticked the sync box that warning message disappeared and were good to go.
Doing something correctly without knowing how is almost as frustrating as not doing it at all !!!
