JOKERS Bar and Grill is to be redeveloped into a cocktail bar and restaurant under new management.

The Hospital Hill eatery was supposed originally to open on December 28 but while waiting for restrictions to be eased, the venue is offering a new takeaway menu which launched last week.

It’s being led by head chef Jamie Shand who was chef previously for both Something Else bar and The Village Grill in Kelty.

To coincide with the launch, new app Dunfermline Eats is the exclusive delivery partner of Jokers.

Is there a great demand for cocktails around Brucefield? Makes more sense as a food place.

Imagine it'll be tough for bars and restaurants until things are a bit more normal.

If The Trondheim can manage to change with the times then there is no reason why Jokers can`t.

Has the Trondheim not been lucky with all the posh houses that have been built locally ?

The Trondheim was knocked down and what is there now is a family restaurant with a car park and is located right next to a lot of family homes.

The only potential bit of good news is that the Auld Toll is shutting down meaning less competition.

The Trondheim failed as the Woodmill but has flourished as Lucas Kitchen due to a very capable and astute owner combined with a massive, affluent residential development on the doorstep.

How does the new Jokers fit that bill. It will take a miracle at best.

Come for the cocktails, savour the food and enjoy the potential for violence at any given time.

It worked for the Mos Eisley Cantina
