Anyone aware of the best local price for OSB3 sheets?
MGM has 11x2400x1200mm for £17.11 incl. each
Thanks.

Oriented strand board (OSB) is a type of engineered wood similar to particle board, formed by adding adhesives and then compressing layers of wood strands (flakes) in specific orientations. It was invented by Armin Elmendorf in California in 1963.[1] OSB may have a rough and variegated surface with the individual strips of around 2.5 cm × 15 cm (1.0 by 5.9 inches), lying unevenly across each other, and is produced in a variety of types and thicknesses.
Five grades of OSB are defined in EN 300 in terms of their mechanical performance and relative resistance to moisture:[2]
OSB/0 – No added formaldehyde
OSB/1 – General-purpose boards and boards for interior fitments (including furniture) for use in dry conditions
OSB/2 – Load-bearing boards for use in dry conditions
OSB/3 – Load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions
OSB/4 – Heavy-duty load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions
So far Beatsons is cheapest locally.
Ta da!

I used OSB (or Sterling Board ) to make a lightweight raised floor in my loft using loftlegs and 2 x 1 treated wood. I have always found Rowan timber in Elgin street to be the best pricewise.

Are the dimensions not 2440 mm x 1220 mm - simply Imperial 8 feet x 4 feet given a straight Metric conversion ?
Or have they eventually gotten around to going 2400 x 1200 ?

Yeah 8` x 4`
Rowan is now Woodrow and there`s no stock listings/prices on their hopeless website. Perhaps aimed less at retail, more at trade?

Beatson tend to be cheaper on public sales compared to MGM.
Mkm in Kirkcaldy are decent as well as Hendersons.
100% call for a price, I've yet to see a decent accurate builders merchant website.
Email them if the orders sizable too.
