As a massive motorsport fan, this one really hurts, but reaching 97 is a good life, and not unexpected. . He reached and inspired millions. But knowing he is now gone, there is now no chance of ever meeting the one person who I would love to just sit and have a chat with.
I dont think there are sports where one of the most known names of the sport are the commentators, in any parts of the world, but Murray was one of those.
RIP Murray, you will be missed, but never forgotten

Motor sport leaves me completely cold. I couldn’t (maybe Lewis Hamilton aside) recognise a single driver. Yet even I knew Murray Walker, I knew his face and his voice. That, believe me , is no mean achievement. A long life and evidently one that he enjoyed to the max - good on him !
