Wait until the one at Duloch opens. The roundabout will be carnage. How it got permission is beyond me. So close to the schools too.
The Burger King at Halbeath seems to be going up quickly.

I`ve seen the q around the houses and back to the dual carriageway before
My question - what kind of people would join such a q?

Sure, MickeyD`s might offend a few of the upper middle classes with its cocky stride and musky odours. Oh it`ll never be the darling of the so-called "City Fathers" who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about "What`s to be done about this American fast food?"!

What's unbelievable is that you had enough spare time in your day to count the cars in the queue at McDonald's.

McDonald’s is a guilty pleasure and let’s face it there’s not many of those around at the moment. The kids love it with toy you get from the happy meals too. Can tell it’s been a fair while since the op had to keep kids occupied for days on end.....
Guess the dulloch plans will be alleviated by the emergence of online shopping in the last year and how many will keep doing that over visits to the store. Plus point is it will spread out the traffic more so the one at the odeon will be quieter.

I don`t know if it`s still the case, but MacDonalds used to gauge their opening day revenue league table based on sales figures relative to square footage of the new store.
On it`s debut Alloa was placed 3rd in the UK for that year.
At the planning stage the Council apparently didn`t want to grant them direct vehicle access off the A907 - MacDonalds insisted or they would go elsewhere.
BTW - best ice cream to be found !!!

It's all franchised. The same person has both the existing Dunfermline units. They must see a market for a third, or their plan is to open at Duloch and close the ASDA outlet, which lacks the drive through.
I'm not snobby about McDonalds. It is what it is. However, locating one at Duloch Tesco is daft. The access is poor and that roundabout is bad enough as it is and the site will be over the road from the Calaismuir school. Just wait for the announcement of traffic calming and traffic lights being added.
The development at Halbeath is also questionable. Originally a Costa was planned for the retail park extension. Seems like someone saw an opportunity to get in their whilst the retail park debated with the council the sale of land to the north of the site.

Tbh Mcdonalds is okay. They must employ a lot of people at their Dunfermline branch, and it looks like quite a fast paced environment, probably quite a good grounding for many young people taking their initial steps on the jobs market.
Good prices for their coffee, in comparison to Nero, Starbucks etc.
I do enjoy a big Mac now and then, although you couldn't eat that junk often, or you would die.
During Lockdown I've actually been making my own version of a Big Mac, with Aberdeen Angus, the finest ingredients and it is far superior to anything McDonald's could produce

Ach everyone's entitled to their opinion.
In my opinion it's utter guff... Although I used to love their milkshakes.
Best part of 10 years since I've eaten at mcdonalds... Maybe it's better now.

Are these vans at the mini golf serving only the finest choice cuts as burgers or something? Are these just your typical burger vans? I enjoy a roll from a greasy spoon van as much as the next man but they are hardly on a higher culinary plane than McDonald`s.
And although my eyes were open
They just might as well be closed

The culinary plane is a transatlantic flight the travels between New York and London and has only the finest Michelin starred chefs preparing the meals all of which are freeze dried and microwaved minutes before being served to you half heartedly by an air hostess. Tickets are 3000 dollars each way for economy class.

Not tried the van at the golf but I wouldn't discount it just because it's a van. Things like burgers and hotdogs needn't be complicated. What makes a good burger is good ingredients. At the end of the day all they are is a circle of minced beef.
Where most fast food type places go wrong is using these burgers with other crap mixed in (onion, garlic powder, other crap). Just lightly seasoned beef is all you need.
Ironically, this is what McDonald's sell! The difference for me is I like a proper flame grilled and thicker burger. This is where Burger King succeeds.

Nothing to do with squealadeal. I am friends with the owner of AGI though.
I tried the vans out last week because the queue at McDs was too long. They are obviously more expensive but very good and totally different fare.

Yes the food is much better quality. No harm in popping in and checking what chooses you can choice from. There are a few vans.

McDonalds is like Primark. They quality is acceptable but they sell at a low profit margin. They rely on bulk selling.
I'd probably go for the van (or the likes of Monterey Jack's) than McDonalds but I've nothing against McDonalds. There's far worse outlets (Frankie and Benny's).

I bet the owner is getting ££££ for this as Iv dealt with him before.

I`m trying to think what is wrong with a businessman using his land to capitalise on an opportunity caused by another business next door, which has too much volume of traffic.
The vans nosh is very good. Not your average kerbside Greasy Joes.
