The Chernobyl disaster happened.
I was at high school at the time (14 years old) and during my morning (before school) paper round in Cairneyhill I remember wondering if the rain battering aff my heid would contain radiation or not.
Where were you? (if you're old enough to remember it)

Weirdly enough , I was in the 4th year of my apprenticeship at Torness Power Station.

East End Park is a symbol of all that is DAFC.

I was 14 when the Cuban missile crisis developed. It nearly wasn’t just rain that would have been raining doon!
As for Chernobyl, don’t recall very much. I think sheep hill farms particularly in Wales suffered quite badly.
