My old printer has given up the ghost. Anybody know a place in Dunfermline where I can take it for disposal free of charge?

Currys at Halbeath will take it. They will also take any old electrical items from white goods to kettles, toasters, irons, lawnmowers, strimmers etc.

Cheers, mate. Will take it along after I've given it its last rites. 🙂

My vintage Epson RX420 went to the recycle dump a few weeks ago after many years of service above and beyond.
Replaced with an Epson XP4105 from Tesco - well pleased. I am a light/moderate user and Epson’s print plan is ideal for cartridge supply, £3.76 or thereabouts by Direct Debit and they monitor usage and mail carts as required. There is a lower tariff, under £2 for very occasional users. If you go over the monthly print allowance then you are billed for the extra, but it’s a generous enough amount for moderate usage.

Cheers, VEE. I think my Epson is even more vintage than yours but it's not been overworked since my kids went to Uni and never came back. 🙂
Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look at it. My daughter suggested I use their printer on the odd occasion I actually use one - probably single figures per year. I'm minded to go along with her suggestion. I can always chip in with some cartridges as she and her family make good use of theirs. Keeping my options open atm.
