Hi can you just walk into a pub in Dunfermline or do you have to pre-book?
Thanks in advance Ian

Not being patronising mate but it depends where you want to go. Some places need a booking and some don't. Citi Hotel on the outside terrace is definitely walk up as is the outdoor seating at Jack O'Bryans

Not patronising at all. I was just asking in general I am up this weekend and I am not sure how it is working in Dunfermline.

If you know where you want to go then it’s worth trying to book a table. That said a lot of places do accept walk ins.
With the Euros starting this weekend maybe busier. I know for example the Haberdashery (previous Watering Hole) is booked out for Saturday.
Hope that’s helpful

Maybe worth starting a list of what we know pubs in Dunfermline are doing, I was up town last weekend for first time and did not know what the position was but luckily someone else dealt with bookings;
Booking required;
Haberdashery (was the watering hole)
Fabric
The Canmore House
East Port (I think)
No booking required;
PJ’s
The City Terrace (assume inside is booking)
Jack O’Brians
The Adamson (Crossford)
Creepy
Somewhere Else
Elizabethan (bookings for food)
Any more? Will update as they come in

I meant I wasn't being patronising in my answer by saying it depends 😀

If it's on Council telly there should be no problem getting a pub!🤔

I took the OP as being pubs in general as opposed to Euro matches

Somewhere Else & The Creepy are walk ins as well, Somewhere Else has been really busy since reopening so maybe worth booking

Thanks for all the info guy`s. I should have been clearer in my opening post. I am not one for sitting in the same pub all night and when I am up with my lad I do like to try pub I have never been to. With the restrictions I wasn`t sure how it is working in Scotland as opposed to down here.

If a place has a free table they`ll fit you in no bother, nowhere will be strictly bookings only, if there`s no seats available just move onto the next place, we`re not short of pubs just now!
