He’s a nightmare to watch but kept our Scottish interest alive in Wimbledon tonight. Great viewing

It's unbelievable he's still playing at this level given the ops he's had. His body is nowhere near where it was, but the spirit and positioning is there. A proper inspiration.

He certainly puts us through the wringer! He had a couple of nasty falls but seemed to be OK physically after them which must be a good sign. He`s obviously a bit rusty after so few competitive matches so it`s remarkable he`s made it into the last 32 of a Grand Slam tournament. Only he and those closest to him will know if he has a realistic chance of competing with the big boys again. Shapovalov in the next round will be a real test.

Would be surprised if he doesn't call it a day after Wimbledon. He can be a hard watch but has the fire in the belly to get himself out of a tough spot.
I think he enjoyed the Scottish support last night!
Huge test for him on Friday.

Don`t think he has any intention of retiring-hopefully the decision isn`t made for him though. He was talking about winning an Olympic medal the other day.Great to see him even able to play a 5 setter and he was still moving quite well at the end I thought. Can`t see him getting past Shapovalov though, who didn`t have to play a 2nd round match, but you never know.

I dread the day when we will no longer be able to follow Andy Murray at Wimbledon. I thought that day had come and gone but his last two matches have been epic. It`s rarely an easy ride but he seems to feed off adversity. Never write him off.

Just as well it was noisy, so you couldn`t hear him swearing.

I turned the sound off as I found the commentary annoying.

I think tennis will retire Andy rather than vice-versa.

I don`t think you get a metal hip and put yourself through months and years of rehab to win a couple of rounds at Wimbledon and then chuck it in.

I reckon as long as he can compete and is enjoying it, he`ll keep on playing even if he knows that winning a grand slam or even a 1000 event is very unlikely. He might even do a year or two in the doubles at the very end of his career just so that he can keep on going.

I love it when we go sell Kevin Nisbet,
He's gonna pay for everyone this season.

He's got 4 kids now and the oldest is only 5. He probably needs tennis for his own sanity!

Sounds like he needs tennis to stop him from burning calories in a more productive way...

He’s no chance of getting close to the level he was at.
His age and a serious injury have put paid to that. I’m not sure if he has the stomach to be an also ran ?

Hopefully he continues, if pain free, to carry on playing for little longer. When his career trajectory was on the upward trend he`d regularly beat opposition who were on the slide and now it`s his turn to give back. If he can stay injury free for few months his game will improve and while probably never winning any titles he can still be reasonably competitive. Worth considering that he pocketed 115k in prize money for reaching the third round as well as in guessing fulfilling or triggering sponsorship rewards.

Judging by his post-match interview he`s obviously got a lot to think about.

I would imagine he will hang up his raquet after the Olympics next month
