Been in my house for 5 years now and only just realised there’s a small typo on it with my post code, it has a 9 when it should be a 8.
The rest of the address is absolutely fine, would I still have to fill in a form to get it fixed?

I'm not sure Berry, it is an offence not to have correct details on licence, but your address is OK just a typo on postcode.
I'm not sure if you would have to pay to change details.
If it was me I would claim I never noticed it

Doesn’t work Stanza, would need to be by post because it’s the post code that’s wrong.
Get stuck in a loop because it either doesn’t recognise my address on record because they have my post code wrong and if I put the error in the address it comes back saying it’s an invalid post code…
I’ve survived 5 years, think I’ll survive a few more I guess, after all rest of address is fine and when the licence was delivered it got here!

Combine this outrageous act of civil disobedience with your vaccine hesitancy Berry and a clear picture you being some sort of outlaw renegade type is being established here.

70 + Save Time do it online they said
So I went online filed in all my details d.o.b. national insurance no. etc
Then hit the send button and the reply was .. thanks for applying online we will send you an application form to fill in in one week .. eh ! so what was the point of the online application ???

I applied for my renewal online a month ago. . .no problems at all. New licence was here with me within a week. Give it another try, you may have mistakenly 'applied' for an application form ?

Not sure the process eg does it need a wet ink signature or a photo of other info added to stop it from being fully online...
...but I'm guessing the benefit of doing an online application that creates the form for you to fill in will probably be along the lines of,
it's more efficient as they don't need to validate addresses as you'll have used an address look up,
If you enter other numbers, eg passport number them they can validate that automatically and accurately which again saves manual effort
the returned form can be scanned (as it'll be printed out) and married up with your application automatically, so no-one needs to do that manually,
the bits you've filled out can be printed smaller as they'll not be needing to add in dropout boxes so they can automatically 'read' your respond - that means smaller forms, less printing so cheaper and more environmentally friendly
