Forget Covid and climate change etc.

The emergency is here and now.............https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-58194011

Altogether now, in harmony please......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bIJV8gaBK4

Belhaven apparently the biggest culprit - I bet the Greene King tied house estate down south is getting theirs !!!

Home-brewed lager has a natural fizz. Not sure why these big breweries don't follow suit.

Commercial brewing is a good bit more complicated than home made stuff.

The weird thing about the BBC report is that it offers no explanation for the shortage of supplies other than a lack of drivers and warehousemen. Is it a few Brexit (oven-ready) chickens coming home to roost?

Draymen etc. are key players in the supply chain.

Yes, but why is there a shortage of them now? The report makes no attempt to explain it.

Presumably the same problem that supermarkets etc. are having with drivers not being allowed to work ?

Automatic self-isolation for those in contact with a positive case no longer applies so there shouldn`t be large numbers absent from work for that reason. I still think it`s pretty shoddy journalism to make no attempt at explaining the labour shortages.
