Used to play it a lot at family gatherings (pre-TV).

As with so much, Google has all you want to know about it, and there is a good description here of how to play it.

Played constantly by our family. Usually we called it “Horsey”.

Never heard of the Newmarket game but we had the horse racing equivalent of Monopoly.

Used to play it a lot when I was a kid. We always used smarties or jelly tots instead of money.
