No surprise that a buffet restaurant hasn't survived COVID. Back on the market. Anyone got a spare £800k to buy it? I never used it but it looks quite stylish inside. The only negative from a restaurant perspective is the lack of windows.

It did seem to get some poor reviews but mainly quite good ones. I suspect some people forget that buffet restaurants are unlikely to be fine dining. Only so much quality you can get for £15.

I believe they were stung for a roof repair after the initial company who repaired it made a mess of it. It was Braisby who fixed it.

The roof has been a significant issue since 2006 with several unsuccessful repairs and recurring leaks. The building`s future in any form depends on substantial investment in the roof.

I was of the understanding that Braisby fixed it after a bodge job was done. This would only have been last year or even earlier this year.

A flat roof is always going to be a nightmare but surely the technology now exists to sort this sort of thing?

Always thought it odd that they spent a lot of money on the interior and painting the exterior but didn't bother fixing the failed render on the left hand side of the front.

It'd be a shame to see it demolished but uses are probably limited. Sinky's has permission for flats but it's looking a bit sad at the moment.

We went in a few times pre Covid and always enjoyed it. Much better than some other buffet places, not quite as good as a fee others. It was very swanky looking inside and they must have spent a lot on the fixtures and fittings so I was surprised it didn`t reopen when the likes of Mr Basrai and Hot Flame have. It`ll be a shame if it doesn`t open up again. It`s handy for grabbing a quick bite and for introducing our wee boy to some new flavours without having to order a full plate.
