Two trees completely blown down around our crescent and another significantly damaged - and another across the road behind neighbours likewise lost big sized main branches.
Reminds me a bit of the "big blaw" of January 1968 which caused major league damage across the country.
Hopefully nobody seriously hurt or impacted.

Another Pars in Glasgow Scottish Cup weekend. That one ended up a bit happier for us.

Yeah, you're right. Nearly a fortnight later. I'd seen/read something once and concluded that were much closer than that.

The cup win of blessed memory would have been the last weekend in January, that was the traditional former round 3 Saturday if memory serves.
The Pars demolished the Rover 6-0 at EEP on New Years Day 1968, so it must have been around mid month when the gale hit.

The destruction across the forestry commission plantation was unforgettable.
I think the "Jungle" roof at Celtic Park was badly damaged and had to be repaired/replaced for the cup tie.

Mither had only just cleared the leaves in the back garden the night before…..
I think the trees roond here get together and drop all over our grass and birdbath - on purpose.
