Hi, has anyone had any issues with this restaurant before? I placed an order for collecting on Christmas Day through the App Mealzo however, 5 mins later I got a call saying they weren’t doing food for anyone except sit in bookings.

I asked about a refund and was told I would get a call back, numerous calls and emails to both the restaurant and Mealzo and I’m still no further forward - the manager refuses to return calls or emails. Being unemployed that £50 would be so handy right now.

They were in the press last week or the week before. Warned to improve hygiene.

No paid for through app on Debit card (hygiene? Perhaps a lucky escape)

You need to take it up with the app company. What they`re effectively doing is taking your order and money and passing it on to the restaurant. The restaurant therefore doesn`t know you from Adam. I`ve never heard of that company but worth contacting them for a refund. If all else fails contact your card provider to do a chargeback.

I’ve tried to contact the app provider but with no luck - Chargeback it is - thank you

Thank you Busspasspar.

After leaving some scathing reviews on both websites and starting this thread a 3rd party payment for the amount has been paid into my account (no idea which company sent it though, but just glad it’s been refunded). The internet wins again.

I can just see Father Merrin standing there screaming “The power of Google compels you”

Good news. Gratzi is supposed to be good but always have to watch with these apps. Dunfermline Eats has been excellent. I`ve never tried Mealzo. It`s a weegie company apparently.
