Anybody like the Curling? Boy what a match today, GB v Sweden. We were 4-0 down after the first end, three ahead going into the tenth, then the Swedes sensationally pulled it back, but we toughed it out in the deciding end.
These women are incredibly cool under pressure, it`s like taking umpteen penalties one after the other. I`m real pleased for Eve Muirhead to get another Olympic medal, a great captain and competitor. Win or lose in the final, they`ve done the business. I`m a fan!

That takes some doing VEE, to be that good at two sports. Hats off to them all though, including the Swedes today. It`s incredible to watch the tiny movements of their fingers and the intense concentration as they release the stone, plus the shouting and sweeping - great skills and high drama!

Agreed, thought they`d done it with getting 4 in the penultimate end bit only for them to lose 3 to go to extra end... Cool play to see game out though
Currently watching final and tension slowly building

She is sometimes part of the BBC radio commentary team at golf competitions. I think she was inspired by seeing the women`s team led by Rhona Martin (now Howie) winning the Olympic gold medal in 2002 when she was 11 years old.

Eve Muirhead completed the full set of international titles as she and Bobby Lammie won the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. The duo beat hosts Switzerland 9-7 in the final for an 11th consecutive win, having topped their qualification group before overcoming Germany in the semis. Scotland led 4-0 after the first end, but had to hold off a spirited revival after the Swiss fought back to 7-6. The Scots retain the title won by Jennifer Dodds and Bruce Mouat in 2021.
"It`s been a phenomenal year," said Muirhead, who led Team GB to Winter Olympics gold in February. To cap it off playing with Bobby was really special. Absolutely delighted to get another gold medal and I`m sure we`ll enjoy the celebrations."
