Just making an assumption, but lots of people have gotten pets during lockdown and may not have properly trained or socialised them. Also a lot of inexperienced owners letting dogs with little to no recall off the lead.
Our kids have been raised around dogs but we still wouldn`t leave them alone in a room with one just in case. It`s all too common to hear phrases like "gentle" and "wouldn`t harm a fly" being used after a dog attack.

To be honest, if you are buying a dog with a breed name like "American Bully XL", which looks like a cross between a pit bull and Anthony Joshua on steroids, have no idea of its history, and keep it in a household with a child, you are asking for heartbreak in my opinion. I get that some people can train certain breeds that have bad reputations, but not everyone can.

The problem is idiots are buying dangerous dogs, for status symbols. Drug dealers, and disfunctional families are to blame. They see the breeds as some sort of twisted protection symbol, not seeing ,or not wanting to ,see the dangerous side of the dog.But hey ho ,you can`t say that these days. They don`t want pets ,they want a dog that will intimadate.

TBF, twinpar, you`re asking for it if you`re getting intimate with your dog!
