of a successful marriage...
Believe it or not, my wife smiles (or grimaces in a way that looks to me like she`s smiling) at my `jokes,` e.g.
(About to go out for lunch:)
Wife: `Are you ready? Got yer shoes on?`
Me: `Don`t call me Zon.`
(The lift arrives:)
`In ya get.`
`Don`t call me a get.`
Every day, something new to laugh at. It helps.
And I`m reminded of a holiday we had in Skye. At the breakfast table we overheard an older man talking to his future son-in-law who, with his bride-to-be, was about to be married in Dunvegan Castle.
Groom to dad-in-law:
"What would you say is the secret of your long and happy marriage?`
`It`s simple: I married my best friend.`
