two kids deciding to throw bottles and smash them across the road on corner of Grange Drive, Pitreavie Industrial Estate.
a guy was busy clearing it when i got there as the bottles were right across the road. I then saw the two kids who ran back into Izatt Avenue/McLelland Crescent.

There were a couple of young lads causing bother around Aberdour Road (Duloch end) last night. Seemed to be headed that direction so maybe live towards Pitcorthie or Abbeyview. They were with three young girls who seemed to just be tagging along.
Wee bams everywhere.

Possibly the best course of action, is not to mention it on social media or anywhere else, but just smash the absolute f*** out of them. They will soon realise for themselves actions have consequences

That’s your approach to primary school children? How very brave you are.

A quiet word and a bit of education is all that is needed ?
I didn`t have time to drive round to locate them as I was heading off. But hoping that someone may be able to mention to kids

There seems to be more and more cases of "do you know where your kids are?". There`s definitely more bammy kids about than there was. Perhaps it`s because we all forgot about them during lockdown, or maybe we have feral kids who didn`t have school to instill in them what normal behaviour is?
I`ll be honest, I was surprised to see my old school (QAHS) allowing hoodies in school and there`s stories of kids vaping on the buses, openly sweating in class and taking phone calls from their parents during class time!

Is it not the parents’ responsibility to teach their kids how to behave?

Yes, adults also need to understand the impact of keeping kids locked indoors to protect elderly and vulnerable will have on them. It`s no surprise at all kids have become even more anti-social, especially with the lack of anything to do in town

Lack of anything to do? There`s more than there was when I was a kid! That same excuse has also been peddled out since I was a kid. It`s nothing to do with having nothing to do.
Agree that lockdown will have had some effect though.

Mate I grew up in a village where had nothing to do never even had a set of goals for a kick about during the summer because the council took them down can’t ever remember me or my pals resorting to mindless vandalism and outright yobishness just because we had nothing to do as you put it so sorry but no that excuse isn’t going to wash
Come on ye pars ⚽️

NIMBYs put up sign with `No ball games`. Restrict what young people can do for fun. Get surprised when this turns into violence and anti-socialism 😱
Dunfermline is really just a glorified retirement home and housing estate nowadays

Get that rod away.
There`s not been no ball games signs put up in years. They were there when I was a kid. Guess what? We all did it anyway!
Shocking if correct about the public park but no surprise. It`s a quote thoroughfare to the station and often frequented by bams at night. Days of their being park wardens are long gone.
Do the parents question when the kid comes home reeking of smoke? Probably not. Do they question or even notice that their kid has been out to all hours? Doubt it.
The problem we`re seeing is that of the genius who breeds more morons. We`ve had decades of it. And it`s not a class thing - they exist everywhere. Can be spotted by listening out for the following phrases "dae ah look like a cayurr?", "Ahm no dain that." and "that`s no ma problem though, is it?".
They`re the parents the teachers hate - the ones who blame everyone when their kid doesn`t do well.

It`s all everybody`s fault, according to some parents.I was brought in the 60s,a football, and a bit of grass,is all we needed. Now ,it`s high tech, tablets, and video games or we are bored.Kids have no imagination nowadays,.We played cowboys and Indians, not PC,correct, but good active fun.We never thought,of abusing,or hurting anyone. We also had respect for the polis. Parents, nowadays, don`t give a toss, and are lazy, parental wise. It's everybody's fault but them.

TBF the leader of this country displays these same qualities. Always behaving poorly but never at fault. Always someone else`s fault.

Hmm are all these 60s 70s kids who didn`t do any wrong suggesting no kids did wrong? No one was abused, no one beaten up, no one murdered.
there will be plenty of decent parents now and plenty of decent kids and plenty of wayward ones just like back in the day.

I was 90s and I genuinely don`t recall anything like this. I don`t remember hearing of kids out really late either. I think the difference when I was younger was we made mischief out of sight. We certainly weren`t bullying pensioners in the bus station or shouting at people in Tesco car park!

I agree, only difference now is that with stuff like social media etc, we’re hearing about every incident

People were being idiots and bams when I was a kid (born in the 90s), and I have every faith there was bams even in the utopia of the 70s and 80s.
The difference was then, unless you directly saw the event it never happened, whereas now everything is banged up straight away on various Facebook pages, giving the impression that it`s a constant stream.
There`s been c**ts alive for thousands of years, no one can be shocked there`s still some around today.

It sounds even worse in Edinburgh. Stories running this week`s of shops closing and people quitting their jobs because of the antics of teens in the area.
