Horrific tragedy. RIP
Media reports that video of the boys in distress, taken from nearby flats, have appeared online……..how low can some people stoop ?
News footage on TV showing police divers searching the lake - not sure what that achieves in these conditions ? Standard procedure ?

I think they’re looking for more people, VEE. I think I read there was the possibility of other children being there.

The police must be searching for more victims, presumably they have received missing persons reports.
Could be more children or even adults that attempted rescue.😮💨❤️

My wife and I were walking our dog around Townhill Loch just ahead of dusk yesterday. We spoke with three separate groups of lads who had all gone very close to the icy water. They were, mercifully, very cautious and very polite and grateful for the warning.
It’s kids being kids despite repeated warnings on TV, from parents and, I’d imagine, in school too.
The tragedy at the weekend was desperately sad, and a very sharp reminder to everyone about the dangers of frozen lochs and ponds. Let’s hope for no further tragedies anytime soon.

Very sadly the six year old who was with the other children has died in hospital. He had been in a critical condition since the incident.
