Where would be the best place to get a digital photo for an online passport application renewal ? Don’t trust taking a photograph on my own device. The location would be in Dunfermline/nearby.. thanks in advance dot net.

I done mine in Tesco duloch. You get a code which you then input on the renewal form online. Was new to me but easy enough to do.

Be careful to make sure the photos are the right size from head to chin; mine were 1mm too short and rejected, which delayed the process and nearly led to my having to re-apply and pay again.
The new style British passport is inferior in quality to the burgundy one that preceded it. It looks like a plastic effort you might pick up in Poundstretcher.

The Post Office do a good `check and send` service which includes taking your photo and approving it. I`ve had my last 2 done at Cowdenbeath post office.

The photo booths keep you right and show you where your head should be, etc
No need for the post office check if you complete online

The booth in Tesco will confirm your photo is approved. Be prepared to get very frustrated that it keeps rejecting you though 😂 It gives you a code and you add this when you do your application online. Very straightforward.

I did a digital photo on my phone. The website is excellent and tells you immediately if they photo is acceptable.
